The Lounge starts serving CPM ads.
I have been working hard over the last 2 months to build a state of the art ad engine to serve CPM advertising and I am proud to announce that we are launching our first CPM based offering today. The first offering is a room of .NET publishers including top sites like GeeksWithBlogs, DreamInCode, DotNetKicks, and many others. Over the next couple of months I hope to grow this room and introduce new rooms in other niches.
This doesn’t mean I am giving up on the model we have been using for over 18 months, the blogger rooms are doing better than ever. In fact this month we are going to be announcing a number of new bloggers joining the ranks and every room is almost sold out.
The CPM market is much more crowded but I feel we can carve out a niche as a premium network of .NET focused sites. We are going to be fanatical about ensuring every site is highly relevant and that all of the ad placements are in optimal locations. You won’t find your ads on low quality sites or stacked together at the bottom of the page. Our early tests have already showed a great CTR which we hope to be making public soon.
For publishers we plan on offering a better way to monetize your traffic. We plan on charging competitive CPM rates and if we can’t fill up the traffic we will let you decide what you want to do with it. If you would like to show Google Adsense or another network’s ads you can configure our engine to do that for you.
If you run a .NET site and you think we would be a good fit to help you with your advertising please drop me a line, if you are a company who would like to reach this great market please get in touch as well.
Thanks,
James Avery
